City Holds Social Market Economy and Ecology Seminar at City Hall

Jakarta Provincial Government cooperates with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) from Germany and Paramadina University to hold Social Market Economy and Ecology Seminar at Great Hall, City Hall, Monday (8/26).

There are around 100 people participated in this seminar from various regional working unit and agencies (UKPD/SKPD)s in Jakarta Provincial Government.

"We want to grow community welfare in Jakarta that can build social justice for all community elements. In order to realize growing market, social justice, and sustainable economy," mentioned Anies Baswedan, Jakarta Governor on the location.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Secretary Assistant for Economy and Financial, Sri Haryati stated, prosperity of a region relies on the quality of development that is based on its economic growth, economic stability, and efficiency in the economy.

"We have issued several policies to help empowering the communities, especially in UMKM sector. We hope participants can understand social market economy concept better and implement it in every policies," she added.

Germany KAS Director for Indonesia and Timor Leste, Jan Snkyr said, social market economy and ecology concept has been implemented successfully in Germany for more than 70 years ago. Thus he is committed to disseminate social market economy concept as the main activity program.

"KAS has been cooperated with more than 100 countries. While we have cooperated with Indonesia for more than 50 years," she stated.
